Schumacher cutting system: Precise, clean cutting results, even at high cutting volumes. The high performance cutter bars (in standard widths from 4.20 m to 9.00 m, and with variable width from 5 to 9 m) feature a monolithic structure and are sturdy and reliable, with superlative weight distribution and precision. The large diameter feeder auger with broad spirals and helically distributed auger fingers ensures continuous feed and product transfer. A highly efficient system that handles and prepares the grain effectively in every stage in the process from cutting to transport and processing, without stoppages and with remarkable precision. Autocontrol: The AUTOCONTROL system corrects the position of the cutting table to follow the contours of the terrain perfectly in all possible harvesting conditions. The AUTOCONTROL system uses three different sensors to maintain consistent cutting height, lateral float and ground pressure: the driver sets these parameters as needed quickly from the cab, and the system automatically does the rest. Proportional pick-up reel: The pick-up reel is equipped with six bars, each carrying a set of extremely resilient and flexible plastic teeth, which are settable at an adjustable angle and individually replaceable far easier maintenance. The pick-up reel is mounted on arms sliding on Teflon guides (for quick, precise hydraulic adjustment of tooth inclination), and is also easily adjustable in position horizontally or vertically relative to the cab, to cater ideally for different crops and harvesting conditions. The pick-up reel may be synchronised with ground speed. Once the driver initially sets the ground and pick-up reel speeds, when the ground speed is subsequently increased or decreased, the pick-up reel speed is automatically adjusted to maintain the same proportion between the parameters. Special kits: DEUTZ-FAHR cutting tables have been designed for versatility. Both the sunflower and the rape kits are easily fittable to the original grain bar to further extend the operational period of the combine harvester, for even more profitable returns on your investment. This first kit consists of special extensions used simultaneously together with a smooth cylinder (installed in front of the feeder auger) and a toothed roller (mounted under the cutting table instead of the pick-up reel, which is removed) to harvest the crop efficiently and quickly. The kit for rapeseed differs from the sunflower seed kit as it also includes an extension for the table and a vertical cutter blade on the right hand side of the hydraulic transmission (or with a blade on the left hand side, as an option).

.

Even the details of the C7000 Series are astonishing: The feeder channel has three alternating rasp bars fastened to three chains with toothed support shafts to prevent judder and allow large cutting tables to be used. Drive is via a two-groove V-belt (an optional three-groove V-belt is available for use with maize pickers) for efficient power transmission with minimised noise. The first step towards perfect threshing results. Cutting angle adjustment: The cutting angle is adjusted mechanically with tie-rods. An electrohydraulic cutting angle system is available as an option, which optimises cutting table position for the direction of travel, and adjusts the cutting table position in response to uphill or downhill gradients to maximise productivity. Feeder channel inversion: You can never be too careful - so even the tried and tested cutting table and elevator channel systems of the new C7000 feature a reverse function. The electric elevator channel reverser system helps the operator rectify blockages more quickly and easily in the event of elevator channel or cutting table overload.

Thresing or separation
car-engine icon
.

DEUTZ-FAHR has developed a modern threshing system for the new C7000 family which sets new standards for the class. This sturdy, reliable and extremely productive system treats the product gently throughout the grain separation process. The result is outstanding harvesting quality. Furthermore, as much of the grain separation process already takes place in the concave, this lightens the workload on the straw walkers, increasing productivity while also ensuring that the straw itself is treated delicately. Threshing drum: The broad 600 mm diameter threshing drum measures 1.27 m in width for 5 straw walker models (C7205, C7205 TS, C7205 TSB) and 1.52 m in width for 6 straw walker models (C7206, c7206 ts, c7206 tsb). Both variants are equipped with eight rasp bars (screw-mounted for quick and easy replacement) for a perfect threshing action. The action of the elevator channel combined with the configuration of the threshing system ensure that the product is delivered to the threshing drum in a uniform flow and without blockage. An aperture above the feed channel facilitates maintenance. Multi-segment concave: Contributing further to the versatility of the C7000 is an optional multi-segment concave (4 mm wire diameter) designed specifically to allow immediate reconfiguration of the combine harvester when needed for different crops: the concave segments are simply removed through the stone trap aperture and replaced with specific segments for the next crop. The concave has fifteen rasp bars arranged with a pitch of 121°, for superlative threshing and separation efficiency. The input and output distances between the concave and the threshing drum at the front and rear are independently adjustable by electric motors controlled by the Commander Control system. A set of manually fitted de-awning plates is also available for crops that are particularly difficult to thresh. Thresher drum reduction gear: The threshing drum is equipped with a sturdy transmission with electronically adjusted speeds within a range from 420 to 1,250 rpm to let the operator choose the ideal speed for each crop. while an automatic variable speed transmission tensioner system protects belts and threshing drum against overloading. For particularly delicate crops, and additional reduction gear unit is available which fits easily onto the flanged part of the threshing drum. This unit reduces the operating speed from the standard range of 420 - 1,250 rpm to a range between 210 - 625 rpm. Turbo-separator: C7200 TS models are equipped with a 600 mm diameter turbo separator with ten toothed rasp bars, which increases productivity by up to 20%. The system uses centrifugal force and an additional mesh (with a spacing of 40 mm), which adds 0.81 m² of surface area to the combine harvester for 5 straw walker variants or 0.97 m² to 6 straw walker variants, to ensure optimum grain separation even in the most challenging conditions. The turbo-separator may be set electrically into five different positions (for a drum excursion from 25 to 65 mm) and operate at two speeds: 775 rpm for crops with smaller seeds and 410 rpm for crops with heavier seeds. Straw walkers: The generous surface area, length and travel of the straw walkers ensure that last grain is separated effectively from the straw, while their open construction improves the flow of product in high moisture conditions. The first step of the straw walkers (4 in C7206 models and 5 in C7205 models) is deeper, to slow the flow of crop exiting the threshing system and improve the efficiency of the first separation stage. The system is mounted on special, hermetically sealed, maintenance-free bearings, which reduce noise and power loss and increase the lifespan of the shaft and of the straw walkers themselves. And for even greater separation efficiency, the straw walkers may be fitted with specific crests, while the return pan is specifically shaped so that the crop already reaches the grain preparation pan in stratified form.

Cleaning

.

Like the threshing system, the cleaning system is also an exclusive DEUTZ-FAHR design. The sieves cover an extraordinarily generous area, while the turbine works in concert with the double step system to clean enormous quantities of product efficiently. Grain pan: The 1.85 m long reciprocating grain preparation pan ensures perfect stratification of straw and chaff which, being lighter than the grain, are immediately blown away on contact with the airflow generated by the fan; an effect that significantly improves the cleanliness of the finished product. The double step configuration ensures excellent cleaning results, avoiding the risk of overloading the sieves without sacrificing productivity. The grain preparation pan is easily removable from the combine harvester, minimising maintenance times and simplifying the operations needed to reconfigure the machine for a different crop. Sieves and ventilation system: An ingenious system ensures that the sieves function efficiently and quietly for maximum productivity. The external transmission for the sieves and grain preparation pan halves the strain on the sieving system and is easy to service. The opposed movement of the sieves prevents straw residue from accumulating and blocking the sieves themselves. The sieves are arranged in two levels (with an upper and a lower sieve) for an initial intense cleaning action followed by a finer second action. The adjustable extension of the upper sieve optimises the grain recovery volume and, as a result, the performance of the combine harvester. Sieve aperture is controlled mechanically from levers situated directly on the upper sieve level, or with an optional electric system from the Commander Stick. Using dual sensors and a control bar extending along the entire length of the sieving tank, the sieve performance control system ensures precise combine harvester productivity monitoring. Turbine: The high performance (400 mm diameter) turbine with 44 vanes aspirates air along the entire width of the combine harvester. Turbine speed is adjustable electrically in a range from 480 to 980 rpm. The transverse air flow volume is controlled by deflectors which advance or retard air delivery to the sieve. Air is distributed uniformly over the entire length of the tank. The transverse air flow volume is controlled by deflectors which advance or retard air delivery to the sieve for uniform delivery over the entire length of the tank. DGR: As the name implies, the DGR (double grain return) system consists of two separate grain recovery systems, with one on each side of the combine harvester. The DEUTZ-FAHR recovery system redistributes the material on the grain preparation pan. This solution prevents the risk of overloading the threshing system, for uninterrupted operation in the field and avoiding product wastage from the straw walkers. The DGR uses friction inserts (with interchangeable types for different crops) to exert an additional threshing action on the recovered grain. The recovery rate is monitored continuously and an alarm signal warns of overload conditions. The CCM module includes a recovery monitor function which further maximises the performance of the machine.

Grain Tank: C7205 models (with 5 straw walkers) are equipped with an 8,500 litre grain tank while C7206 models (with 6 straw walkers) have a 9,500 litre tank. The tank is fed by the grain elevator which features a folding joint to minimise the risk of grain shredding as well as ensuring optimum tank filling at any angle. The level in the tank is observable via a window in the cab, while the threshing quality may be checked via an external grain sampling hatch. Two sensors in the tank activate an indicator light and an audible warning signal to inform the driver that the tank is full, and that it is necessary to bring the tractor near the thresher for discharging onto the trailer. Discharging: A discharging capacity of 90 l/sec. ensures that the tank is emptied rapidly, while discharge speed is adjustable with specific deflectors in the tank near the discharge auger. The 4.5 metre high discharge outlet means that the tank may be emptied even when moving, and allows product to be transferred easily even into large trailers. Available in lengths of 5 - 5.6 or 6 metres and with a generous 110 degrees of mobility, the discharge pipe means that the combine harvester can work with a large range of cutting widths, and ensures that the operator has a clear view of the discharge outlet at all times. The aperture and closer of the discharge pipe is be controlled easily from the cab via the Commander Control.

Straw Chopper: The integrated straw chopper is equipped with a rotor with 48 cutter blades arranged in 4 rows on 5 straw walker models or with 60 blades on 6 straw walker models. The blades are serrated and curved This configuration produces an air flow which spreads material uniformly over the entire surface of the cutting tables, and may be adjusted with manually controlled deflectors (electrical adjustment system available as an option). The system may be set to chop straw or maize by simply changing two pulleys, without requiring additional reduction gears for threshing heavier crops. The position of the counter-blade is adjustable to obtain the degree of chopping required. Chaff spreader: Like the straw chopper, the chaff spreader is designed to distribute material over even the broadest cutting table, for perfect mixing of the chopped material. The transfer pan (which transfers the product to be processed) ensures uniform chaff distribution, while a conveyor with metal chutes directs the chaff to the four-blade rotors. The blades on the rotors include specific deflectors which regulate air flow for superlative distribution results without very high power demands, while the angle of the chaff spreader is adjustable to ensure ideal distribution with different crops.

.

The engine of a combine harvester must not only be powerful enough to meet the performance and functional requisites for the machine itself, but also to operate supplementary equipment and optional implements such as straw choppers, corn cutting heads, stalk cutters etc. It must also ensure an adequate torque reserve to ensure dependable operation even in demanding conditions with no loss in threshing system speed. The new models of the C7000 range reach unparalleled levels of performance with minimal environmental impact. The 7.7 litre Mercedes-Benz OM936 engine produces up to 381 HP (for the Extra Power models). Putting every ounce of power to work: Power is taken off from both ends of the crankshaft, making it possible to separate hydraulic and mechanical functions, and ensuring a direct transmission system with no power losses. This also means that fewer drive belts are used, and that the belts themselves are more accessible, reducing the running costs for the combine harvester. Low environmental impact: An exhaust aftertreatment system with EGR valve, SCR and DPF ensures compliance with EU stage V specifications. The combination of multiple technologies reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. A new self-cleaning filter further improves the quality of the air fed into the engine, for superior efficiency even in very dry and dusty conditions. Four-speed transmission: The four-speed hydrostatic transmission lets the driver maintain the ideal speed for all harvesting conditions, and adjust the speed continuously from a level next to the driver seat. The ideally spaced ratios ensure that there is always plenty of torque on tap to tackle even the most critical traction conditions. The gears of the reduction unit and gearbox are lapped to reduce operating noise without compromising the durability and reliability of the transmission system. Load sensing hydraulic system: The hydraulic system equipping the new C7000 delivers the ideal flow of hydraulic oil to power all the main control functions while also ensuring superlative precision and smoothness. The pumps are built for superior durability and reliability, and are suitably sized to cater for any power demand. The Load Sensing system optimises power delivery and consumption. The hydraulic pump is controlled in relation to load, so that oil is delivered at the exact pressure and in the precise quantities necessary for the effective demand.
